The annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service at Kenneth Hahn State Recreation Area returns this month!

As we celebrate Black History Month, we’ll honor Dr. King’s legacy through restoration and beautification activities around the King Monument, including mulching, planting, and more.

Event Details

When: Saturday February 22, 2025  |  9am-12pm

Where: Kenneth Hahn Martin Luther King Memorial (4100 S La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90056)

What: Restoration and Beautification projects for all ages. Tree Planting, Refreshments and more!

This event is a collaborative effort between Mujeres de la Tierra, Los Angeles County Parks & Recreation, Nature Nexus Institute, and North East Trees. Each organization brings their expertise in environmental conservation and restoration, service learning, and community connection to make this volunteer day possible.
