Exploring Joshua Tree: Connecting Through Adventure with Outward Bound California

This winter, participants from Nature Nexus Institute and West LA College embarked on two unforgettable trips to Joshua Tree National Park with Outward Bound California, made possible through funding from the Outdoor Equity Grant. In January, a group spent four nights camping and rock climbing, immersing themselves in the stunning desert landscape. Then, in February, another group returned for a day trip focused on climbing, experiencing the thrill of scaling Joshua Tree’s iconic rock formations.
These trips provided opportunities for participants to connect with nature, challenge themselves, and build community—all while enjoying the beauty and adventure of the outdoors. Check out the photo gallery above to see the excitement in action!
